Baptist Meto Baptist Church was organized on February 23, 1958 as a result of much prayer and planning on the part of two churches, Concord Baptist Church and Davis Chapel Baptist Church.
After much discussion by the members of these two churches, it was agreed that the merging of the two into one church body would strengthen their ministries and abilities to serve the community and God.
Thus was born Bayou Meto Baptist Church with 121 charter members, about 60 members from each church.
For over 60 years the church has been carrying out God's call in the Great Commission (Matthew 28:19-20).
Bayou Meto Baptist Church proudly and boldly stands on God's Word as it's absolute guiding truth. Though the ministries have changed some over the years, the foundation and purpose has not - serving and loving people.
